PROJECTS
Prestige Facades has had the pleasure of working with numerous clients across Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia, delivering high-quality facade solutions on a range of construction projects. Explore a selection of our work below.
Tubman Elementary School
Prestige Facades was contracted in a design build capacity to assist with detailing, coordination, procurement and installation of both the exterior polycarbonate fins and the curtain wall system. The intent from the design team was to have the fins "floating" in front of the curtain wall system with minimal to no visible structure. This was achieved by designing an aluminum substructure that creatively integrated into the structure of the curtain wall and was supported by structural steel within the tubular members. The end result is stunning from both the exterior and interior, offering a near perfect representation of the original renderings.
New Douglass Community Center
The Douglass Community Center project consisted of a wide range of products including exterior curtain wall, interior glazing, custom door hardware, a wood rainscreen and a custom hexagonal skylight compose the primary elements. The pinnacle of this project is the 40-foot clear span hexagonal skylight that was custom designed with integrated bird-friendly glazing.
The combined scope of exterior glazing and wood rainscreen allowed us to fully coordinate all details between the systems ultimately delivering a beautifully integrated final product.
DC Stabilization Center
The primary focus of this project was a value engineered alternative to the originally specified historic windows. Due to budget constraints on the project, we proposed the utilization of standard storefront systems in an unconventional way, combined with additional design elements such as extrusions and surface applied grids, to best mimic the historic look at over 50% of the original design costs.
While the historic entrances represented the primary focus of this project, we also installed the pre-fabricated windows and interior glazing.

Richard Wright School
Not every job is about being new and flashy. It is in this project that we simply assisted with a renovation. Richard Wright is more about rehabilitation than new construction. Prestige Facades first assisted with the removal and re-installation of the exterior facade which allowed for material deliveries throughout the project. We provided a sleek new interior glass partitions that integrated standard storefront framing with the idea of an all-glass feel. We were also responsible for the very costly fire-rated glass assembly.
